Job summary

Smart Solutions are seeking an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver for a busy waste and recycling site in Atherstone. You will operate a counterbalance forklift safely, supporting material movement and day-to-day operations.

The role offers an immediate start, 6-hour induction and ongoing work. A valid FLT Counterbalance licence and prior forklift experience are essential. You will work Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid external FLT Counterbalance licence is essential.
• Previous counterbalance forklift experience is required.
• Experience in waste, recycling, manufacturing, logistics or warehouse environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a counterbalance forklift across the site.
• Load, unload and move materials safely and efficiently.
• Support day-to-day operations of a busy waste and recycling facility.
• Follow site procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Complete daily equipment checks and report any defects or issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and site management.
• Carry out general site duties when required.

FLT Counterbalance Driver

Location: Atherstone, CV9
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7am-4pm
Induction: 6-hour induction

We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy waste and recycling operation in Atherstone.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious FLT driver looking for an immediate start and ongoing work within a busy operational environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently across the site, supporting the movement of materials and day-to-day waste and recycling operations.

Requirements

• Valid external FLT Counterbalance licence is essential.

• Previous experience within waste, recycling, manufacturing, logistics or warehouse environments is advantageous.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a busy operational environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
