Meridian Business Support Ltd is recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver / Warehouse Loader in Stoke-on-Trent on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business. The role offers rotating shifts, permanent contract and competitive pay with a 5% shift allowance.

You will load and unload vehicles, operate counterbalance and 4-pronged FLTs, move goods across the site and help prepare orders for dispatch. Ongoing training and clear progression routes are provided.

Formación

• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Experience operating Counterbalance forklift.
• Experience in warehouse, logistics or manufacturing.
• Ability to work rotating shift patterns.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance forklift.
• Operating a 4-pronged forklift (training provided).
• Moving finished goods from production areas to the warehouse.
• Picking and staging orders for dispatch.
• Stacking and storing products safely.
• Supporting warehouse and manufacturing teams.
• Maintaining health and safety and high housekeeping standards.

FLT Counterbalance Driver / Warehouse Loader | Stoke-on-Trent | £14.11 per hour + 5% Shift Allowance (£30,816 p.a.) | Rotating Shifts | Permanent

As an FLT Counterbalance Driver / Warehouse Loader, you will play a key role in ensuring products are moved, stored and dispatched safely and efficiently across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance forklift truck
• Operating a 4-pronged forklift truck (full training available if required)
• Transporting finished products from production areas into the warehouse
• Picking, preparing and staging orders ready for dispatch
• Stacking and storing products safely in designated locations
• Supporting the wider warehouse and manufacturing teams as required
• Following health and safety procedures and maintaining high housekeeping standards

This FLT Counterbalance Driver / Warehouse Loader position is based on a rotating shift pattern, offering a consistent Monday to Friday working week.

Shift Pattern

• Week 1: 5:00am to 1:00pm
• Week 2: 1:00pm to 9:00pm
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekly

To be considered for this FLT Counterbalance Driver / Warehouse Loader role, you will need:

• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance forklift truck
• Experience within a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment
• The ability to work rotating shift patterns
• A strong awareness of health and safety procedures

Desirable:

• Previous experience operating a 4-pronged Counterbalance FLT, although training can be provided

Applicants with experience as a Forklift Driver, FLT Driver, Warehouse Operative, Dispatch Operative, Goods In Operative, Goods Out Operative or Logistics Operative are encouraged to apply.
