Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Derby is seeking a Flow Room Manager to coordinate order flow, support warehouse automation and drive performance through data and systems.

You will lead a team, manage priorities in a fast-paced operation and work with engineering on preventative maintenance while driving continuous improvement across the facility.

Qualifications

• Experience leading in a warehouse, logistics, inventory, systems or operational support environment.
• Proficient with WMS, WCS or automation systems.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to identify trends and issues.
• Excellent multi-tasking and prioritisation in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prioritising and allocating customer orders to ensure work is distributed effectively across the operation.
• Monitoring automation, warehouse systems, and dashboards to identify issues and resolve them quickly.
• Coordinating preventative maintenance with engineering and maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
• Producing reports and analysing performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Leading and supporting the team, including performance management and colleague development.

Pay Rate: £45,000-£50,000 DOE
Grade: RCS K
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Core hours - Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 17:00.
Location: Derby, DE73 5BH

We're looking for a Flow Room Manager to play a key role in coordinating order flow, supporting warehouse automation, and driving operational performance through systems, data, and continuous improvement.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Prioritising and allocating customer orders to ensure work is distributed effectively across the operation
• Monitoring automation, warehouse systems, and operational dashboards to identify and resolve issues quickly
• Working closely with engineering and maintenance teams to coordinate preventative maintenance and minimise downtime
• Producing reports and analysing performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
• Leading and supporting the team, including performance management, absence management, and colleague development

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Have leadership or supervisory experience within a warehouse, logistics, inventory, systems, or operational support environment
• Are comfortable working with WMS, WCS, automation systems, or other operational technologies
• Enjoy analysing data, identifying trends, and using insights to improve performance
• Have strong system skills and are confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Champion continuous improvement and enjoy finding better ways of working
