Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is launching a new start-up operation and seeks a Warehouse Flow Room Manager in Derby. You will lead Flow Room Leads/Controllers, oversee automation systems and drive performance improvements across the operation.

The role requires strong leadership in a logistics setting, experience with WCS/WMS, and the ability to analyse operational data to inform management. Flexible shift patterns and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing operational, control room or automation teams in warehouse/logistics/manufacturing.
• Experience with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong people leadership and operational data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Flow Room Leads and Controllers.
• Monitor warehouse automation systems, alarms and control room activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for automation performance and productivity.
• Collaborate with WCS Engineers, IT and automation providers to resolve issues.
• Identify, resolve and escalate system-generated issues as required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Leading and managing a team of Flow Room Leads and Controllers
• Monitoring warehouse automation systems, alarms and control room activities
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation performance, productivity and service delivery
• Working closely with Warehouse Control System (WCS) Engineers, IT teams and automation providers to resolve operational issues
• Ensuring all system-generated issues are identified, resolved and escalated appropriately.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Previous experience managing operational, control room or automation teams within a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment
• Experience working with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or warehouse automation technologies
• Strong people management and leadership experience
• Experience analysing operational data and producing management reports.
