Job summary

Stirling Council's Housing Services seeks a Floorlayer to install carpets, LVT and sheet vinyl, including wet areas, across properties in Stirling. The role supports trades teams, assists on-site, transports materials, and engages with tenants to maintain high standards.

Applicants should have experience in installing floor coverings, hold a valid driving licence, and be able to work flexibly in a busy housing improvement environment that offers progression and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Practical experience installing floor coverings (carpets, LVT, sheet vinyl), including wet rooms.
• Proactive, team-focused attitude with the ability to work independently.
• Good communication with colleagues, managers and tenants.
• Experience working in peoples homes.
• Full driving licence (Category B/C1).
• Good level of physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Support skilled trades teams across a wide range of projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Assist on-site, transport materials, or work directly with colleagues and tenants.
