Example Recruitment is seeking an experienced Floorlayer to join a busy property maintenance team delivering high-quality flooring installations and repairs within residential properties across Merseyside. The role requires focus on vinyl flooring and subfloor preparation.

You will work in occupied and void properties, maintain safety standards, and liaise with residents and management. The position offers a permanent, full-time contract, a company van, pension, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing flat-lay vinyl and cap and cove flooring.
• Experience in social housing or similar environments.
• Knowledge of subfloor preparation and smoothing compounds.
• Experience with welding or finishing techniques.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare subfloors to a high standard, including cleaning, smoothing, levelling, and minor repairs.
• Install flat-lay vinyl flooring in kitchens, bathrooms, communal areas, and other residential environments.
• Fit cap and cove flooring systems, including forming coves and welding joints to achieve a watertight finish.
• Carry out hot and cold welding of vinyl flooring where required.
• Measure, cut, and install flooring materials accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, health and safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Work professionally within occupied homes while maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy workplace.
• Complete job sheets, risk assessments, and related documentation accurately.
• Liaise effectively with residents, supervisors, and management teams.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship while meeting productivity and performance targets.

Floorlayer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Floorlayer to join a busy property maintenance team delivering high-quality flooring installations and repairs within residential properties across Merseyside.

This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson with experience in resilient flooring who takes pride in delivering excellent workmanship and customer service. You'll work within occupied and void properties, ensuring all flooring installations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and durability.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience installing flat-lay vinyl and cap and cove flooring.
• Experience working within social housing, local authority, healthcare, maintenance, or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of subfloor preparation and the use of smoothing compounds.
• Experience with hot welding, cold welding, and finishing techniques.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable, organised, and self-motivated approach to work.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to achieve productivity targets while maintaining high standards.
