Skilled Careers is seeking an experienced Floor Layer to install a range of flooring materials on a long-term social housing contract in Islington, London. You will work on occupied and void properties, delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service on a 40-hour weekly schedule.

The role emphasises health and safety compliance, independent working, and professional liaison with tenants. A valid UK driving licence is required, and a company vehicle may be provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Floor Layer.
• Experience in social housing, maintenance or a similar environment is desirable.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Installing a range of flooring materials, including vinyl, LVT and other floor coverings.
• Preparing floors and ensuring surfaces are suitable for installation.
• Carrying out repairs and replacements as required.
• Working within social housing properties, including occupied homes.
• Completing jobs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Liaising professionally with tenants and other team members.
• Completing relevant paperwork and job records.

Floor Layer - Social Housing Contract

Location: Islington, London

Pay: £22.14 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are currently looking for an experienced Floor Layer to join our team, working on a long-term social housing contract in Islington.

The Role

As a Floor Layer, you will be responsible for carrying out flooring works within occupied and void social housing properties. You will be expected to complete work to a high standard while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to health and safety requirements.

Requirements
