Job summary

Chickpea, a beloved village pub, is seeking a Floor Manager to join the GM and AGM in delivering exceptional hospitality and guiding the team. You’ll lead from the front, ensure guests feel welcome, and shape a positive culture across front-of-house operations.

You’ll develop leaders, take ownership of service, and uphold Chickpea’s high standards, with clear promotion paths and continual training.

Qualifications

• A natural leader who enjoys bringing the best out of people.
• Genuinely cares about hospitality and the guest experience.
• Confident communicator who can inspire and support a team.
• Leads by example and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
• Takes ownership and follows things through.
• Lives the Chickpea values rather than just knowing them.
• Experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred, but attitude, ambition and leadership potential matter just as much.

Responsibilities

• Lead the floor and set the standard for brilliant hospitality.
• Make every guest feel welcome, valued and looked after.
• Support GM and AGM with the day-to-day running of the pub.
• Coach, support and develop the Front of House team.
• Help create a positive, energetic and supportive team culture.
• Lead by example and demonstrate Chickpea’s values every day.
• Notice the small things and take action before they become big things.
• Take ownership of service and help the team deliver consistently high standards.
• Support with training, inductions and developing future leaders.
• Take responsibility for the pub when required.
