Job summary

WPS is seeking a talented Floor Layer to join our Responsive team in Skelmersdale. You will install vinyl, carpet tiles and safety flooring in social housing and responsive repairs projects, delivering a high quality finish and minimizing disruption for tenants.

The role requires proven flooring experience, the ability to work independently or in a team, a full UK driving license and a willingness to undertake a Basic DBS check at offer stage.

Responsibilities

• Installing a wide range of flooring types including vinyl, carpet tiles, and safety flooring
• Preparing subfloors using screed, plywood, and latex compounds
• Completing flooring repairs and replacements in occupied and void properties
• Ensuring all works meet high quality standards and comply with health & safety regulations
• Providing excellent customer service while liaising with tenants and clients to minimise disruption
