MMP Consultancy Limited is seeking an experienced Floor Layer for a permanent role covering Dudley, Wolverhampton and Sandwell. You will work in occupied social housing properties performing reactive repairs and planned maintenance to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service to tenants.

The ideal candidate has proven floor laying experience with vinyl, safety flooring and laminate, own basic tools, and a clean UK driving licence.

Qualificações

• Proven floor layer experience, ideally in social housing or maintenance.
• Experience fitting vinyl, safety flooring and laminate.
• Ability to prepare subfloors and carry out flooring repairs.
• Experience working in occupied properties with customer service.
• Own basic hand and power tools for floor laying.
• Smartphone for updating jobs via company app (BYOD allowance).
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out floor laying repairs and renewals within occupied social housing properties.
• Install, repair, and maintain vinyl, safety flooring, sheet vinyl, laminate, and carpet tiles.
• Undertake floor preparation works including latex screeding, patch repairs, and subfloor prep.
• Ensure installations are completed to a high standard and within timescales.
• Complete up to 7 jobs per day across the designated patch.
• Communicate professionally with residents at all times.
• Accurately update job progress and completion details using a mobile application.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.

Location: Dudley, Wolverhampton & Sandwell

Salary: £31,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00am to 17:00pm

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Floor Layer to join a leading Social Housing Contractor operating across Dudley, Wolverhampton, and Sandwell. The successful candidate will work within occupied social housing properties, carrying out reactive repairs and planned maintenance to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service to tenants.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out floor laying repairs and renewals within occupied social housing properties.


• Install, repair, and maintain a variety of flooring types including vinyl, safety flooring, sheet vinyl, laminate, and carpet tiles.


• Undertake floor preparation works including latex screeding, patch repairs, and subfloor preparation.


• Ensure all flooring installations are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.


• Complete up to 7 jobs per day across the designated patch.


• Communicate professionally and courteously with residents at all times.


• Accurately update job progress and completion details using a mobile application.


• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Floor Layer, ideally within the social housing, repairs, or maintenance sector.


• Experience fitting a range of flooring products including vinyl, safety flooring, and laminate flooring.


• Ability to prepare subfloors and carry out associated flooring repairs.


• Experience working in occupied properties and providing excellent customer service.


• Own basic hand and power tools required for floor laying works.


• Smartphone for receiving and updating jobs via the company app (BYOD allowance of £20 per month).


• Full UK Driving Licence.


• Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
