Job summary
Waythrough is seeking a Floating Support Coordinator in Manchester to provide flexible, person-centred support for adults facing homelessness and related challenges. The role involves home visits, outreach across community settings, and collaboration with partner agencies to empower service users toward independent living.
You will work in a recovery-focused, trauma-informed framework, building trust, monitoring needs, and facilitating access to housing, benefits, healthcare, and training
Qualifications
- Experience in homelessness, housing or related social support services.
- Ability to work with individuals with complex needs and safeguarding awareness.
- Strong communication, organisational and record-keeping skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and sustain accommodation and reduce homelessness risk.
- Develop independent living skills and personal resilience.
- Assist access to housing, benefits, healthcare, and education/training.
- Support wellbeing through tailored planning and practical help.
- Engage with recovery-focused services and reduce harm.
- Work with local agencies to provide flexible home-visit support.
