Waythrough is seeking a Floating Support Coordinator in Manchester to deliver flexible, person-centred housing support for adults facing homelessness and complex needs. You will work across community settings, supporting people to sustain accommodation, access services, and improve wellbeing.

The role requires safeguarding awareness, strong communication, and a proactive, independent approach. A full UK driving licence and vehicle access are essential for home visits and outreach work.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals affected by homelessness, substance misuse, mental health challenges, or social exclusion.
• Understanding safeguarding and risk management in community settings.
• Ability to build positive professional relationships and maintain boundaries.
• Strong communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
• Flexible, proactive approach to varying levels of need; driving essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and sustain accommodation and reduce homelessness risk.
• Develop independent living skills and personal resilience.
• Assist access to housing, benefits, healthcare, and employment resources.
• Improve wellbeing via tailored support planning and practical help.
• Reduce harm and engage with recovery-focused services for substance misuse.
• Build routines and community connections.
• Provide flexible home visits, outreach, welfare checks, and partnership work.
