Job summary

First Housing Charity is seeking a Floating Support Worker in Derry/Londonderry to provide high-level support to individuals facing housing difficulties, including those with complex needs. The role involves working as part of a team to assist homeless clients who are in temporary accommodation or at risk of chronic homelessness.

The position requires English GCSEs, a health and social care qualification (NVQ II or equivalent), 2 years’ relevant experience, a valid driving licence, and IT

Qualifications

• GCSEs with grade C or above, including English.
• NVQ level II or equivalent in health and social care or related field.
• Minimum 2 years recent experience supporting adults and families.
• Valid driving licence and access to a car.
• IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high support on a 24/7 basis to homeless individuals in temporary accommodation.
• Work as part of a team to assist service users with housing difficulties and related issues.
• Adhere to shift patterns that include evenings and weekends.
• Complete Access NI Enhanced Disclosure as required.
