Job summary

Randstad Education in Bristol is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support local primary, secondary and SEN schools across Bristol and surrounding areas. You will work 1-to-1 or in small groups, aid classroom management and help deliver engaging lessons.

Fixed daytime hours 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM and flexible day-to-day or short-term contracts are available, with ongoing support from dedicated recruitment consultants to find the right school fit. DBS check required.

Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 3 months of UK classroom experience is required.
Checks: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to apply for one immediately.
Availability: Free to work between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM on full-school-day bookings.
Core skills: Strong communication, patience, adaptability, proactive attitude.
Travel: Based in or able to commute across Bristol and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

Support class teachers with daily classroom management and delivering engaging lessons.
Work 1-to-1 or in small groups with pupils needing extra learning or behavioural support.
Encourage student engagement, boost confidence, and promote positive behaviour throughout the school day.
Help create and maintain an inclusive, safe learning environment for all students.
Assist with task differentiation to meet varied learning needs, including SEN.
