Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary and secondary settings. Roles include day-to-day supply and longer-term placements, with flexible hours and immediate start options.

You will assist teachers with lessons, work 1:1 or in small groups, support SEN, and help create an inclusive learning environment. An Enhanced DBS Update Service is preferred, and right to work in the UK is required. Competitive pay and weekly PAYE payments available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people (schools, nurseries, youth work, care, or coaching).
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support.
• Strong communication skills and a good command of English and Maths.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
• Right to work in the UK and reliable transport links to schools in your area.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery and effective classroom management.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils to boost literacy, numeracy, and overall confidence.
• Assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as ASD, ADHD, or speech delays.
• Create an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment for all students.
