Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to support learners across primary and secondary settings in Bristol and surrounding areas. You will assist with classroom management, 1:1 and small group support, and help create an inclusive, safe learning environment.

Fixed daytime hours (8:30–15:30), flexible day-to-day and long-term contracts, and ongoing recruiter support to help you find the right school fit within South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months UK classroom experience.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one immediately.
• Availability to work between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM on full-school-day bookings.
• Strong communication, patience, adaptability and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support class teachers with daily classroom management and the delivery of engaging lessons.
• Work 1-to-1 or in small groups with pupils requiring extra learning or behavioural support.
• Encourage student engagement, boost confidence, and promote positive behaviour throughout the school day.
• Help create and maintain an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment for all students.
• Assist with task differentiation to meet the needs of pupils with varied learning requirements, including those with SEN.
