Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to support primary, secondary, and SEN pupils across Bristol and surrounding areas. The role offers regular daytime hours and flexible day-to-day to long-term contracts.

You will work with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons, support individuals and small groups, and help create an inclusive learning environment. DBS checks must be in place or be applied for promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 3 months UK classroom experience is required.
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one immediately.
• Availability to work 8:30 AM–3:30 PM on full-school-day bookings.
• Strong communication skills, patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support class teachers with daily classroom management and delivery of lessons.
• Work 1-to-1 or in small groups to support learners needing extra help.
• Encourage engagement, build confidence and promote positive behaviour.
• Maintain an inclusive, safe learning environment for all students.
• Assist with differentiation to meet varied learning needs, including those with SEN.
