Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking adaptable Teaching Assistants to support pupils across local schools in flexible and supply roles. You can choose from long-term or day-to-day assignments, with opportunities for progression and CPD training to enhance your teaching support portfolio.

Ideal candidates will have experience with children, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in both primary and secondary settings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in schools, nurseries, youth work, care, or coaching.
• Excellent communication skills and a good command of English and Maths.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Right to work in the UK and access to reliable transport to schools.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery and effective classroom management.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups to boost literacy, numeracy, and confidence.
• Assist children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, or speech delays).
• Create an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment for all students.
