Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils in both primary and secondary settings across local schools in the area. We offer long-term and flexible day-to-day supply roles to suit your lifestyle, with weekly pay and diverse placement opportunities.

You will assist teachers with lessons, work 1:1 or in small groups to improve literacy and numeracy, and support students with SEN. Immediate start dates and ongoing term-time openings are available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in schools, nurseries, youth work, care, or coaching.
• Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support.
• Strong communication skills and a good command of English and Maths.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Right to work in the UK with reliable transport to local schools.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups to boost literacy, numeracy and confidence.
• Assist children with SEN such as ASD, ADHD or speech delays.
• Create an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment.
