Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary and secondary settings with flexible and supply roles in local schools.

You will work 1:1 or in small groups to boost literacy, numeracy and confidence, assist children with SEN (ASD, ADHD or speech delays), adapt activities, and help create an inclusive, safe learning environment. Immediate starts available and roles offer local work and weekly pay via PAYE with CPD training to support your career.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people (schools, nurseries, youth work, care, or coaching).
• Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support.
• Strong communication skills and a good command of English and Maths.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Right to work in the UK and reliable transport links to schools in your area.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery and effective classroom management.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils to boost literacy, numeracy, and overall confidence.
• Assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as ASD, ADHD, or speech delays.
• Create an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment for all students.
