Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils in primary and secondary settings across local schools. Roles include day-to-day supply and long-term placements, with flexible schedules to fit your lifestyle.

Ideal candidates have experience with children, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to learning support. DBS checks and reliable transport are preferred for local assignments.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in schools, nurseries, youth work, care, or coaching.
• Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support.
• Strong communication skills and good English and Maths.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Right to work in the UK and reliable transport to local schools.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups to boost literacy, numeracy, and confidence.
• Assist children with SEN, such as ASD, ADHD, or speech delays.
• Create an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment for all students.
