Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking motivated Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Derby and surrounding areas. You’ll work in EYFS to KS2, delivering one-to-one and small group interventions and helping pupils reach their potential.

A DBS (Update Service) is preferred or willingness to obtain one. Flexible day-to-day work, short- and long-term placements, and opportunities for permanent roles are available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school context is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to support learners.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in creating engaging learning environments across EYFS to KS2.
• Deliver one‑to‑one and small group interventions.
• Assist children with SEN and promote positive behaviour.
• Help to create a safe, inclusive classroom and support daily activities.
• Assist with classroom preparation and learning activities.
