Job summary

Maiden Erlegh Trust is seeking a Casual Site Lettings Assistant to support the community lettings programme outside normal school hours at Maiden Erlegh Chiltern Edge, Sonning Common. The role is flexible and requires reliability, good customer service and the ability to work independently or with others.

You will open and close the site, welcome hirers, set up equipment, perform light maintenance and help maintain a safe, professional environment during lettings.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy and self-motivated.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Practical maintenance or site management skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and school holidays.
• First Aid qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Opening and securing the school premises for lettings.
• Welcoming and assisting hirers and visitors.
• Setting up and putting away equipment, tables and chairs.
• Carrying out basic maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Monitoring facilities and reporting defects or damage.
• Supporting a safe, secure and professional environment during lettings.
• Acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.
