Job summary

One Stop Stores Ltd is hiring a Customer Service Assistant for our store in Seaton. You will be part of a fast-paced retail environment, delivering friendly, helpful service to customers and keeping the store looking its best.

You will work across multiple areas including online orders, tills, replenishment, and stock routines, while following safety policies and training. We encourage feedback, community involvement, and ongoing coaching to improve service.

Responsibilities

• Know my customers and serve them with passion and pride, giving great natural service.
• Encourage customers to provide feedback on their shopping trip via the Have Your Say survey.
• Work across all areas of the store including online, the tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet customer needs.
• Apply training to work safely and follow procedures.
• Take part in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Be aware of store performance and the role you play in delivering profit.
• Live the company values, making everyone feel welcome and following policies.
• Clock in and out to ensure accurate pay for hours worked.
• Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment to keep people safe.
• Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age restricted products.
• Respond quickly to assistance calls on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
• Keep aisles tidy and organized and ensure tasks are completed.
• Occasionally run the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager.
• Follow all training to keep everyone safe and compliant.
• If applicable, a Post Office Local duty requires passing a background check.
