Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one and small‑group support across Leicester SEND settings, helping pupils engage and progress.

You will work with teachers and support staff to tailor activities to individual learning needs, using patient, resilient and proactive approaches.

This role offers flexible day-to-day work with potential progression into longer placements; PAYE pay, CPD courses, and access to a 24/7 consultant support network.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Experience within an education, SEND, or care setting.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to adapt support to meet individual student needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND.
• Assist students with individual learning needs and safety in activities.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to encourage engagement and progress.
