Job summary

The Education Network Birmingham is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support SEND schools across Birmingham. Engage with pupils with diverse needs, provide classroom and targeted support, and contribute to EHCP targets in a flexible role across long-term and day-to-day assignments.

We seek confident, reliable individuals with a passion for helping children with SEND and the ability to adapt to varying school environments. DBS checks and safeguarding will be part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people with SEND is essential.
• Patient, calm and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of SEND and additional needs.
• Provide classroom, small-group and 1-2-1 support.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and engage in learning.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
