Job summary

One Stop, a Tesco subsidiary, is hiring a Customer Service Assistant to join our busy retail team in Bath. You will help customers, stock shelves, process payments and keep the store welcoming, clean and safe for everyone.

You’ll work across store areas, respond quickly to service calls, support on- post office Local if present, clock in and out accurately, and contribute to our Think 25 policy on age-restricted products. We value friendly colleagues and great teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Know my customers and serve them with passion and pride, giving great natural service.
• Encourage customers to provide feedback on their shopping trips via the 'Have Your Say' survey.
• Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet customer needs.
• Put training into practice to ensure we work safely.
• Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Be knowledgeable about store performance and understand my role in delivering profit.
• Be myself, live our values, make everyone feel welcome and follow policies.
• Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay.
• Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep colleagues and customers safe.
• Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
• Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts, explaining actions to customers.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and organized with clear aisles.
• May run the shift in the absence of Shift Leader and Store Manager.
• If the store has a Post Office Local, perform day-to-day operations and pass required background checks.
