Job summary

SCR is seeking experienced Residential Support Workers to provide high-quality care to children and young people in various residential settings across the UK. You will support individuals who may have experienced trauma, autism or complex needs, helping them feel safe and valued.

The role focuses on building relationships, supporting routines, and promoting wellbeing. Flexible agency shifts offer potential progression into permanent roles within homes and across the sector.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months' experience working with children or young people in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care and support to vulnerable children and young people.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with children and staff.
• Support daily routines and individual needs, including activities and personal development.
• Engage children in activities, hobbies and interests.
• Support emotional wellbeing and respond to challenging behaviours.
• Follow individual care plans and risk assessments.
