Job summary

SCR is seeking experienced Residential Support Workers for flexible agency assignments across residential care settings in the UK. You will support vulnerable children and young people, helping them feel safe, supported and valued, with a focus on building trust and promoting wellbeing.

Shifts vary and may include long days, weekends and sleep-ins. Some agency roles may lead to permanent positions with the residential home, offering progression opportunities within SCR.

Qualifications

• Calm, emotionally resilient and patient in challenging situations.
• Ability to support children with challenging behaviours.
• Comfort with autism and additional needs in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care and support to vulnerable children and young people.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.

• Manage and respond to challenging behaviours appropriately.
• Follow care plans and risk assessments.
