Job summary

SCR is seeking experienced Residential Support Workers for flexible agency shifts across a range of residential childcare settings in the UK. You will support vulnerable children and young people, help them feel safe and valued, and work within care plans and risk assessments.

Ideal candidates are calm, emotionally resilient and capable of handling challenging behaviours, including supporting those with autism and additional needs.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or over
• At least 6 months' experience working with children or young people in a residential setting
• A clean UK driving licence
• Flexibility to work long days, weekends and sleep-in shifts when required
• Genuine commitment to working with vulnerable children and young people

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care and support to vulnerable children and young people
• Build positive and trusting relationships
• Support daily routines and individual needs
• Engage children in activities, hobbies and interests
• Support emotional wellbeing and personal development
• Manage and respond to challenging behaviours appropriately
• Support children with autism and additional needs
• Follow individual care plans and risk assessments
