Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking an enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistant to support primary schools in Rushden on an ad-hoc basis.

The role offers flexible hours (minimum 3 days per week) and the chance to gain experience across age groups, with training provided. You will work with teachers to aid learning, manage behaviour, and create an engaging classroom environment.

Applicants should be reliable, punctual, and good communicators, with a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.

Qualifications

• Experience with children in an educational setting is a plus but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
• Flexibility to adapt to different classroom environments, grade levels, and subjects as needed.
• Reliability, punctuality and commitment to fulfilling assignments.
• Good communication skills with teachers, students and school staff.
• A genuine enthusiasm for helping children learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and creating an inclusive environment.
• Work with individual students or small groups to help them reach their full potential.
• Assist in maintaining a well-behaved classroom by following school policies.
• Help prepare and organize classroom materials, aid lesson planning, and contribute to engaging learning.
• Be available for short-notice assignments, working around your schedule.
