Job summary

Academics is seeking enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to join our supply team and work across a variety of primary schools in Uttoxeter and the surrounding areas. You will support children in EYFS to KS2, assist class teachers with activities, and help pupils stay engaged.

We value flexibility, a caring approach, and the ability to adapt to different schools and year groups. Training and safeguarding focus are included, with ongoing professional development and a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school or educational setting in the UK.
• Positive, patient and adaptable approach to learning support.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Assist class teachers with learning activities, ensuring all pupils are engaged and supported.
• Provide 1:1 or small group interventions where needed.
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support children with additional needs to access learning effectively.
