Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as flexible temporary postal delivery drivers. You’ll drive a Royal Mail van and deliver letters and parcels in your community, with a portion of the route completed on foot to ensure timely delivery.

This Post Person with Driving role requires a full, manual UK driving licence with up to 6 points, the stamina to walk up to 20,000 steps daily, and the ability to carry a mailbag up to 16kg.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels on your delivery route, driving a Royal Mail van.
• Deliver election materials and certain items (food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Be prepared to walk parts of your route and provide excellent customer service.
