Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join us as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll deliver letters and parcels in your community, driving a Royal Mail van on your round and stepping out to complete parts of your route on foot.

The role requires a full, manual UK driving licence with up to six points, physical fitness to walk up to 20,000 steps a day, and the ability to work flexible shifts. This temporary position could become permanent.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; you must be adaptable to short-notice changes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels along your delivery round.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and deliver items to customers on your route.
• Handle and deliver election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail standards.
