Job summary

Ecton Village Primary Academy, part of Hatton Academies Trust, is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join the EYFS team. The role is part-time (up to 16 hours), with flexible patterns—five afternoons or two full days a week—and requires an EYFS-recognised qualification and Level 2 English qualifications.

The successful candidate will support learning, observation, and safeguarding within a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Qualification recognised by the Department for Education as full and relevant for EYFS staff.
• Level 2 English and Mathematics required.
• Paediatric first aid training or willingness to complete this.

Responsibilities

• Support learning through play and structured activities.
• Assist in observing, recording and assessing children's progress.
• Help maintain an engaging indoor and outdoor learning environment.
• Promote children's independence, confidence and social development.
• Work closely with colleagues and families to support children's learning journey.
• Uphold safeguarding and child welfare standards.
