Job summary

Suffield Park Infant and Nursery School in Norfolk is looking to appoint two enthusiastic teaching assistants to support two EYFS classes. Successful applicants will assist the teacher with learning activities, including phonics, guided reading and maths, and support SEN pupils to access the Early Years Curriculum.

Post 1 is a full days role; Post 2 is mornings only. Hours are 29 hours per week (09:00–15:15) and 15 hours per week (09:00–12:00).

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in a school or nursery setting.
• Willing to support learning inside and outside the classroom.
• Able to support small groups with phonics, reading and maths.
• Interested in delivering speech intervention programmes as directed by SENDCO.
• Able to support behaviour and wellbeing and promote educational outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support learning across EYFS classes.
• Assist with phonics, guided reading and maths.
• Support SEN pupils to access the Early Years Curriculum.
• Assist with 1-1, small groups and whole-class activities as required.
