Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner for opportunities across Central Birmingham. You will provide high-quality care and support for children aged 0-5, working within teams to deliver a safe, nurturing and stimulating EYFS environment.

Key requirements include Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualifications, strong communication skills and a genuine passion for working with young children.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare is essential.
• Paediatric First Aid is desirable.
• Experience in a nursery or Early Years setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning, development and wellbeing of children aged 0-5 in line with the EYFS framework.
• Provide high-quality care and support to children in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Create engaging, stimulating and age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Plan and participate in activities that support children's social, emotional and cognitive development.
• Recognise and respond to each child's individual needs, interests and stage of development.
• Encourage children's confidence, independence, communication and social skills.
• Assist with planning and delivering activities that promote learning and development.
• Build positive and professional relationships with children, colleagues, parents and carers.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of all children.
