Job summary

N Family Club in Cambridge is seeking a Flexi Kitchen Assistant to assist our Chef in delivering fresh, nutritious meals for nursery children. You will work in a state-of-the-art kitchen and help cater to diverse dietary needs while upholding high hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Good knowledge of food allergens and child nutrition.
• Food Hygiene level 2 qualification (or willingness to complete during onboarding).
• Passion for food and nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cooking fresh, age-appropriate meals for children.
• Pot-wash and maintain hygiene of crockery and equipment.
• Follow nutritionist-designed recipes to ensure nutritious meals.
• Support chef in accommodating dietary needs and allergies.
• Prepare daily lunch and smoothies for nursery staff.
• Maintain kitchen paperwork and daily hygiene diaries.
• Order food supplies and manage weekly stock rotation.
• Cover and lead kitchen in chef's absence.
• Collaborate with nursery team and parents.
