Job summary

N Family Club in West Midlands is seeking a Flexi Kitchen Assistant to support our nursery kitchen operations. You will help prepare fresh meals for children, maintain hygiene, and adapt to varied shifts within a state-of-the-art kitchen.

The role requires prior kitchen experience, food allergen knowledge, and a willingness to complete Level 2 Food Hygiene if not already held. Casual working agreement offers flexible shifts and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen or nursery kitchen.
• Good knowledge of food allergens and child nutrition.
• Food Hygiene level 2 or willingness to complete during onboarding.
• Passion for cooking and nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cooking fresh, nutritious meals for children.
• Pot-wash and ensure crockery and equipment are cleaned.
• Follow nutritionist-designed recipes ensuring vitamin intake.
• Support with dietary needs and allergy requirements.
• Prepare daily lunch and smoothies for nursery staff.
• Maintain kitchen paperwork and daily hygiene duties.
• Order food supplies and manage stock rotation.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies.
• Cover and lead kitchen in the chef's absence.
