Job summary

N Family Club in Hove, East Sussex is seeking a Flexi Chef to cook breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for children across our nursery. You will follow nutritionist-designed recipes and cater to allergies, while maintaining high hygiene standards.

Ideal candidates have nursery kitchen experience, food safety Level 2+, and the ability to adapt to busy service times. We offer flexible hours, daily lunch, and strong career progression within the UK’s innovative early years group.

Qualifications

• Must have Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2 or above.
• Experience in a nursery or school kitchen preferred.
• Ability to cater for allergies and dietary needs.
• Comfort working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Cook fresh meals for children, including weekends.
• Follow nutritionist-designed recipes to ensure vitamins and nutrients.
• Cater to dietary needs across age groups, avoiding cross-contamination.
• Maintain kitchen paperwork and hygiene checks daily.
• Order ingredients and manage weekly stock rotation.
• Maintain 5-star Food Hygiene standards and adhere to EH regulations.
• Mentor nursery apprentices when required.
• Ensure accurate allergy information during meal handovers.
