Job summary

N Family Club in Hove, East Sussex, is seeking a Flexi Chef to cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for children, while catering to allergies and dietary needs. You’ll follow nutritionist-designed menus and maintain high hygiene standards in a busy nursery kitchen.

You’ll join a supportive team, mentor nursery apprentices, and help deliver nutrition across age groups with flexible shifts and opportunities for permanent employment and welcome bonuses.

Qualifications

• Experience in a nursery or school kitchen handling varied dietary needs.
• Knowledge of food allergens and child nutrition.
• Familiar with EH guidelines and nursery budgets.

Responsibilities

• Cook fresh, nutritious meals for children, including snacks.
• Follow nutritionist recipes and menus to ensure vitamin adequacy.
• Cater to different ages’ dietary needs and manage allergies.
• Prepare daily lunch and team smoothie; maintain kitchen records.
• Maintain hygiene standards and support kitchen paperwork.
• Order supplies, manage stock, and rotate ingredients weekly.
• Mentor nursery apprentices and uphold H&S policies.
