Job summary

Blackburn Rovers Academy is seeking a Chef de Partie to manage day-to-day food preparation and assist the Lead/Head Chef in delivering high standards for players and staff. The role requires dedication to quality, a 40-hour week, and permanent employment with flexibility regarding location.

You will prepare, cook and present food to a consistently high standard, support senior chefs, and uphold rigorous food hygiene and health & safety practices within a professional kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Has a passion for producing great food.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards.
• Reliable, organised and a great team player.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
• Holds a good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• To be committed to safeguarding and welfare of all staff and elite players, promoting wellbeing.
• Preparing, cooking and presenting food to a consistently high standard.
• Supporting the senior chefs with the smooth running of the kitchen.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health and safety standards.
• Ensuring food preparation areas are clean, organised and well maintained.
• Managing your section effectively during busy service periods.
• Following recipes, specifications and portion controls.
• Helping to maintain high standards across all areas of the kitchen.
• Working as part of a professional kitchen team.
• Any other duties as reasonably assigned by the Lead or Head Chef when required.
