Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support primary and secondary pupils across local schools. Roles offer flexible full-time or daily supply positions with immediate start.

You will work with teachers to deliver lessons, support literacy and numeracy, and assist students with SEN. DBS checks or willing to apply are required, and you must have right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people (schools, nurseries, youth work, care, or coaching).
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support.
• Strong communication skills and a good command of English and Maths.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
• Right to work in the UK and reliable transport links to schools in your area.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery and effective classroom management.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils to boost literacy, numeracy, and overall confidence.
• Assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as ASD, ADHD, or speech delays.
• Create an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment for all students.
