Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for flexible and supply roles in local schools across the area. You will support teachers, deliver parts of lessons, and assist students, including those with SEN, to build confidence and skills.

Roles suit experienced TAs, graduates starting classroom experience, or those with childcare or coaching backgrounds. DBS on Update Service preferred; UK work rights and transport required. Immediate starts available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people (schools, nurseries, youth work, care, or coaching).
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support.
• Strong communication skills and a good command of English and Maths.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
• Right to work in the UK and reliable transport links to schools in your area.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery and effective classroom management.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils to boost literacy, numeracy, and overall confidence.
• Assist children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as ASD, ADHD, or speech delays.
• Create an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment for all students.
