Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking Teaching Assistants to support students across primary and secondary settings with flexible day-to-day or long-term supply roles to suit your schedule.

You will support teachers, work 1:1 or in small groups to boost literacy and numeracy, and assist pupils with SEN. An Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK are required. Immediate starts available with local schools.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in schools, nurseries, youth work, care, or coaching.
• Patient, empathetic and proactive approach to learning support.
• Strong communication skills and good command of English and Maths.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Right to work in the UK and reliable transport links to schools in your area.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils to boost literacy, numeracy, and confidence.
• Assist children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech delays).
• Create an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment.
