Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Learning Support Assistants in Biggleswade to provide 1:1 mentoring and learning support for young people with SEND across various settings. Roles include Education Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant and Education Mentor, with flexible in-person, hybrid, and community-based sessions.

You'll work to engage disengaged learners, build life skills and confidence, and use trauma-informed approaches to tailor activities.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references required.
• Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people who may have faced challenges in education.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities.
• Support life skills, confidence and independence using trauma-informed approaches; track progress and adapt support.
