Job summary

Affinity Partnerships seeks Learning Support Assistants to join a dedicated team at an OFSTED Outstanding Special School in the knowle area. This full-time, term-time-only role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–3:00 pm and focuses on supporting pupils aged 3–19 with autism and complex needs.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with IEPs, promote communication and independence, and work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other staff to deliver personalised education plans

Qualifications

• At least one year's experience in learning, childcare, nursing or similar setting.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable).
• Experience with Health & Safety, hygiene, child welfare and protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs.
• Support learning activities and IEPs.
• Promote communication, emotional regulation and independence.
• Support behaviour management and maintain a safe environment.
• Provide personal care, hygiene, and welfare support.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
• Support assessment, record-keeping and pupil progress.
• Deliver specialist interventions and therapy programmes.
• Always promote safeguarding and wellbeing.
