Job summary

Thera Trust is seeking enthusiastic support workers to join our inclusive team supporting adults with a learning disability. You will help create innovative ways to support individuals achieve their own personal goals, aims and ambitions.

The support you provide will change with everyone you work with because everyone is different. You maybe be supporting people in their own home or out and about in their community.

Qualifications

• No previous experience or qualifications required as full training will be provided.
• Comfortable with lone working & supporting individuals with Mental Health Needs.
• Compassionate, Caring and Confident.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter, with a high level of motivation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment and creatively solve problems.
• Desire to embrace our values and vision and have fun.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with a learning disability to achieve personal goals and ambitions.
• Provide personal and emotional support in daily living.
• Help plan and manage each person's home, leisure, employment, interests and travel.
• Support in their own home or out and about in the community.
