Job summary

Thera Trust is seeking enthusiastic support workers to join our team supporting adults with a learning disability. You will help create innovative ways to support individuals to achieve personal goals and ambitions, adapting support to each person’s needs.

Work may be in clients’ homes or out in the community, with a person-centred approach driving empowerment. You must be comfortable with lone working, have a full UK driving licence, and possess strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK manual driving licence.
• Experience in social care or related setting preferred.
• Comfortable working alone and supporting individuals with mental health needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and emotional support to adults with learning disabilities.
• Assist individuals with daily living, home planning, leisure, employment and personal goals.
• Support in community settings or within clients' homes as required.
