Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver for Newport, delivering Waitrose produce directly to customers’ doors. You’ll also support shop tasks when not on the road, with night premium payable for 22:00–06:00 shifts.

The role requires a valid UK B-category licence, strong customer service, and the ability to manage time and handle physical duties. Part‑time hours across seven days are offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full valid UK B-category driving licence with no more than six points.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
• Able to manage time effectively and handle physical tasks in a delivery role.

Responsibilities

• Check delivery routes for the day and prepare van for deliveries.
• Load and secure orders for efficient direct-to-customer delivery.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks and maintain road safety compliance.
• Act as a brand ambassador with a customer‑centric approach on every delivery.
• Assist shop team with general duties when not out on deliveries.
